The Dynafold DE-8 is the most capable large format friction-feed folding machine for print shops and in-house printing tasks. With capability comes complexity. It is a machine for professionals, not the casual user.
The DE8 handles paper in a wide range of sizes (2" x 2.75" to 14" x 21") and has perforator and scoring wheels, normally found only on much more expensive air feed folding machines. It also handles most glossy paper unlike most other friction feeders, even better than the Dynafold 322. It has a larger conveyor, counter with batch capabilities (fold a set number then pause, so the operator can take out a set) and micro fold adjustment, capabilities not found on any other large format friction feed machines. The DynaFold DE8 can handle paper from 10# to 110# bond in weight. Can also smoothly fold card stock by first scoring, then folding. Speed is adjustable up to 22,000 sheets per hour. It can perform a cross fold in 2 passes. It is one of the best machines for the crossfold because of its 3 feed rollers, micro adjustment and conveyor output.
The DE-8 is a well-made, solid performer. This machine folds with precision. The machine automatically stops when the run is finished or a jam occurs. It also has an anti-static device. (Static results either from the printer or dry conditions and causes paper to stick together.)
